Pebble in the skye

Pebble in the sky is the title of the most recent book I read. It is early Asimov and good. It reminds me a lot of an Edgar Rice Burroughs "John Carter From Mars" book with more science to it. The late 40's and early 50's were really transitional years for science fiction, there was still a lot that science didn't know about what space was like. The most interesting thing I find about this period is that even though things like wire recorders are assumed to be high tech, digital electronics haunts most stories without being really described. Photoshop lies just don't show up in the narratives.

Anyway, here's my first blog here (I already have one on MYSPACE) and here's hoping I don't lose the url after I forget it.
